Quite a few of the original posters are still here. The OP herself doesn't post much, but she visits every once in a while, and she's a red star member, too!

I am still biking. Riding a folding Dahon (I so love this bike.) It goes on the bus and lite rail to work, and takes me whereever I need to go after work without the bus or lite rail. Today the odometer says 1766 miles. I work a different place now, so my commute is a little over 10 miles. I hope by the end of the summer to up to riding in sometimes, but at this point 20 miles a day every day is just too much for my fitness level.
My daughter (also a big beautiful woman) has been researching about the way our culture treats FAT, and has told me that FIT is the issue. You actually live longer if you are FIT and not thin.
Thanks for reopening this question. And yes, I am still here.

Happy to see you! You might want to visit the Clydesdales/Athena forum. It's inspirational (and I'm not even an Athena!) and definitely non-judgemental
. Yes, the people there are about getting fit. Getting less fat is a good thing, but not so much of a worry.

+1 to East Hill's post - come join us at the clyde/athena forum. We're all fat, happy, and non-judgemental. Well, most of us.

I did a sprint triathlon this weekend and there were a lot of great clydes/athenas represented.
the overall winner did it in under an hour but the people who were still on the course over 2 hours really put in extra effort.
