Hello guys. I'm glad I found this forum.
I have just started riding a bike few days ago. In fact that was my first time in my whole life. I thought it would be harder to learn but thankfully I was able to paddle in the park in a few hours.
But after the few hours I felt the pain and felt I needed to tilt the seat slightly to reduce the pain. And I was right it worked.
Next day I went riding over 5 miles on a track and after few hours I didn't feel my hands anymore. Now I've read some articles about bike saddles (I didn't even know they're called saddles) and found out there are so many different kind.
If you guys have any recommendation on which saddle I should try, please let me know.
I am a woman and hate the pressure in the middle.

Hi there! Welcome to the forums!
I have this saddle and found it helped tremendously because of the cutouts designed for women parts:

It also would probably help to get your bike properly fitted and try out different saddles. For the hands being numb, that can be from a number of reasons. One, bike not fit correctly. Ex. Stretching and placing to much pressure on your hands, the angle of your wrists being bent. You can also be holding on to tightly. Have you tried wearing gloves yet?
I still get numb hands, but find if I change positions and take my hands off one at a time and shake them around a bit, it's not so bad. You can find a lot of information here using the search function.

Thank you for the kind reply. I looked at the links you guys posted for me. Terry has a lot of interesting stuff but since I'm a beginner I don't want to start buying everything without even knowing better first.
and MangoPumpkin, Thank you for the explanation. I checked the picture but it looks very similar to what I have now. My husband just bought me this columbus bike from sports authority and it is a woman's bike so it has woman's saddle attached already. this is the picture of it.
It is softer than my husband's bike on the butt and also on the tip.. I guess that part is called nose??
And the nose is what hurts me and gives me pressure.
I did some research and I think my hands were numb because I tilted my seat to reduce the pressure but that made my body weight on my hands. At least that's my guess.
My husband says I am holding on too tight since I just learned though.
Unfortunately I can't change positions nor take my hands off one at a time without falling. I'm not that good at keeping my balance yet. Everytime when I was sliding forward because of the tilted seat, I couldn't just move back a little so I had to stop and seat back and start riding again.
Hopefully I can be good enough to ride on the road soon.
