Hi... I'm a college student living around Fort Worth, TX. As of right now I don't even own a bike, but I am looking to get one soon. For a while now I have went out and jogged pretty regularly, but I discovered I do this because I should rather than because I want to. Running just is no fun to me, and I really think I would enjoy cycling much more. Looking into road bikes.

Just lurking around topics and trying to find out what beginners should know, and what sort of bikes I should be looking at.

Welcome ! New to geared bikes myself , so can't help you on choseing a good one. This forum has some very helpful people
that know bikes better than most bike shops. Your right about running , it's healthier pedaling for most people. My old knees
& back (am 65yr) can't take jar running & jogging , but feel great biking .
