Hello from Orange County, CA

Hi everyone! I wanted to give a brief introduction before I dove into the forums.

My name's Nate, and I am an attorney in Orange County CA. I rode mountain bikes in my youth, and in the early 90's rode a GT Tequesta and a Specialized Rock Hopper. I took a long hiatus from bicycling, and at age 30 recently got interested in it again. Two months ago I purchased a 2011 Stump Jumper Comp 29 hardtail from The Path in Orange, CA. Great bike, but I find myself having little time to drive out to all the great local trails that OC has to offer. I've been riding mostly on the street, and found myself looking at road bikes for the first time. After much research and thinking, yesterday I traded in the bike for a new 2010 Roubaix Expert. I took a quick 5-mile maiden voyage this morning before the rain came, and I love it!

I'm just now getting back into cycling for both fun and fitness. I used Google to find bike forums to educate myself on which road bike to buy, and found this forum that way. I noticed the "Athena/Clyde" forum, which at 270 pounds, especially caught my attention. I've been lurking here, reading posts in that forum and the Road Bike forum for over a week now. I feel that I purchased a great bike, and decided to continue learning about this hobby and enjoying it with others by joining the forum!

While I'm new to bicycling in the modern era, I'm no stranger to two wheels. I currently ride an '09 Yamaha FJR1300, and will be picking up an '11 Triumph Speed Triple when they hit US dealers. Like many bicyclists it seems, I'm also into microbrews/Belgian abbey ales, golf, cars, shooting, and cigars Most of all though, I'm into absorbing as much information about my hobbies as I can, and going overboard with the gear

Here's a couple pics of my new baby. I look forward to participating on these forums and learning as much as I can!
