Hi
I am Andre, US Army Sergeant First Class, curretly deployed to Afghanistan. I am married and have two kids.
I suffered and injury during airborne operations and I find it difficult to run (not impossible, but difficult), which is one of my favorite hobbies, due to this injury I started biking and just fell in love with it. I've been trying to figure out what would be the best bike for me....I had a Giant (boulder 2009) whom I traded for a GT (Transeo 4.0 2010), I believe the trade was worth it but im not familiar with spec or stuff like that....that is why i joined this community I am hoping to learn and develop my knowledge with your input and hopefully meet people who I can talk to about my new found passion.
I am glad to be here.....

Hello! Cycling is actually alternative to run after injury or for people with disability. It's more comfotable kind of sport. I know one man with SBK amputation who ride very fast and a few of people can overtake it. Here is special section "Adaptive cycling" on the forums for these people. Welcome!

Hello to the both of you and welcome to the BF community! Bicycling is great lower impact exercise option. I do like to run as well but sometimes it's hard on my left knee due to an injury so I find whenever my knee acts up, I ride instead and it doesn't bother me at all. I hope you'll find all the info you need here, it's a great source of information.
Oh and thank you for your service!

Welcome! I'm fairly new here as well and have found this forum in particular to be the most hospitable out of the 25+ forums i've been apart of over the years. I am actually going to pick up a similar bike to yours soon as well, a 2010 Transeo 3.0 as a new commuter bike. How do you like transeo? Also, I appreciate what you do for this country.
