Not sure where this "help forum" is you're talking about but you'll get answers from NC and southeast folks in the Southeast Regional subforum.
Have fun.

I am trying to get a reasonable route from Ligonier, PA to Gettysburg, PA. I grew up in the Ligonier area and have bike around there to Ohiopyle and the environs. Trouble is there does not seem to be a good way to get to Gettysburg except Route 30 which is not bike friendly. Trying to put together some off rt 30 routes that head east-maybe rt 40 in MD-have done a bit of that as well. I was hoping for a nice published route that would take us through Bedford and Chambersburg and Gburg! Cheers, AB

I'm nowhere near the area of your focus and know nothing of that area, so I'm not exactly a deep well of valuable info here, but... On a general basis, I'd suggest:
1---Go at Amazon.com, select Books and search Bicycling in PA.
2---Check out https://www.mapmyride.com .... You have to register to use it and it may take a little acclimation to get the hang of using it, but when you click on a start point and an end point, it'll pick the most bike-friendly route it can.
3---Google bicycle dealers in Gettysburg, call a couple of them up and pick their brains.
Disclaimers on #2 --- A--My knowledge of it is rudimentary and my uses of it are limited and unsophisticated. B--There may be better websites or programs out there to do this function, but since MMR has sufficed for my limited needs, I've stuck with it.
That's all I can come up with for you, but hopefully it'll get you started on the trail leading to the info you need. Good luck with it.
