Bikes: The always reliable kuwie

Carmageddon

Thought this was interesting, this is the second race I've seen where the bike wins.

only the second? I have beaten friends on the city bus several times. i frequently pass the same car at several subsequent redlights. (I know we're racing, even if the driver doesne't.) I certainly do my work commute as fast by bike as I can by car, counting time parking and walking to the building.

Basically, bikes often beat cars, even when ridden by fat old farts like me.

I have also beaten trains. However, I can't claim that I ever dropped a jet!

I don't think I've ever beaten either a train, car or jet.

However, I've had a lot of fun getting where I want to go.

I take great amusement on the article of cyclists beating the jet, somehow I just don't see the general motoring public pumping out close to a 25 mph average for 35 miles on a non motorized bicycle.

It would have been interesting to have seen the time a person using a bike/mass transit would have been, hopefully beating the walk/mass transit person's time, who only came in 10 minutes later than the cyclists, without anything near the cyclist's physical exertion.
