242km's, 2 days in a row. First day took 10 hours second day on the way home took over 11 hours. This was on a fully rigid mountain bike with slicks. I was road bikeless at that point in time.

145 miles or so from Sacramento to Point Reyes one day, then another 70 heading back the next day (when I broke my front wheel in the Bay Bridge expansion grate and greyhounded it home).
I also did a 5 day trip from Sacramento to Monterey and back, averaging 125 miles a day. That was in '85, to burn off frustration at the end of the racing season.
Lately my best is 92 miles round trip from Klamath Falls to Lake of the Woods, on my mountain bike.

I did 215 last year at STP. 206mi on the ride (my group missed a turn in P'land and we got an extra 3 miles of being lost.) Then another 9mi riding around with the friend whose house I crashed at for the night.

I did 133 on a tour a couple of years back. This was with a loaded Touring Rig, but I had a mean tailwind.

My longest one day ride was also my first century and I posted this below to the thread asking about my first century
Does anyone know if the Belle Isle Double Century is still being held?
My first century, actually a double, was in 1971. The Wolverine Sports Club puts on an annual double century on Belle Isle, an island park in the Detroit River with a five mile perimeter, so the 24 hour double century is 40 laps. Its totally flat and you are obviously always in the company of lots of other cyclists. As I recall, at that time at least, it was the only time camping was allowed on the island so it was a festive affair. My roommate and I decided to do it, with no training, and me on my Schwinn Suburban and he on his Varsity.
After a few laps into the ride, at the main gate, a rider on a penny-farthing was dismounting, fell, and tacoed my wheel. I dont think he even apologized. My mother was able to go buy me a new wheel and drove through the traffic maze to the island, which was obviously congested by all the riders, and delivered a new one in about three hours, so I did finish. At the end, I remember my roommate commented that his then-favorite star, Joey Heatherton, could appear in person, and he could care less ;-)

My longest ride to date was on last weekends 300K. 189 miles in 15 hrs. Previous to that is was 148 miles on a 200K I did last year. A couple of navigational errors is why the 200 was so long.
I hope to see that personal best go by the wayside next month on the 400K.

The longest single day ride would be 25hrs, making use of daylight savings time change.
Anyone done this?
The furtherest ride .......

153km. Man, I wish I did the extra few km to get up to an imperial century, even if that meant setting up camp after dark. Early start and another 120km the next day, though.
That was my last long ride before the baby arrived; nothing over 60km since!

Now there's an idea! I would have to wait till I'm in Australia to try that though. The weather conditions here aren't conducive to doing 25 hour rides at that time of year.

The 300k I just did was on the day we "spring ahead." I wondered if the guy coming in right around 2:00am really could have had an extra hour.

Last summer I rode from Milwaukee to Sheboygan (actually a bit west), 81 miles one way, then the next day rode about 40, and then rode back to Milwaukee on the third day. Really wasn't too bad. I didn't ride especially fast - maybe 11mph average. Took 11 hours one way, 10 the other. It was a lot of fun, if a little desolate in places.
Prior to that trip, my longest ride was about 62 miles.
This year, the friend I was visiting last time and I plan for me to ride up, he joins me on the way back on the second day, ride the Oak Leaf Trail (~105 miles) and then he'll ride back alone on the fourth day.

Last Friday: 148 miles in ~10.5 hours - in the rain with 6 flats between two bikes and a holdup while we waited for a support vehicle to swap out some lights and dead batteries. That's my record, the other guy's done a 600k.

I've done a few 24hr solo MTB races, typically around 150 miles.
one of the races, in Tahoe, i think was over 19K/ft of climbing in 24hrs.
on the road, i've never ridden for 24hrs straight.
doubles have been my 1 day max.

If you worked it right, you could cross one, or possibly two time zones, and stretch that out another hour or two.

New month , new personal best. I just completed a 400K on Saturday. 249 miles in one day. That's subject to change pending the outcome of next month's 600K.
