205mm. It has a 20mm cone spacer and a 10mm spacer on top, with a Specialized stem using the -12 degree shim which yields 8cm seat-bar drop (I've got a bunch of seat post showing). I was toying with the idea of removing the 10mm spacer and going to a -8 degree shim, since I've done 100 mile rides with the present setup with no discomfort.

The Allez has been around a long time. IMO it was always positioned as an entry level race bike.

Chuck,

I still have all the bike + bits from my accident where the bike was totaled. I was told that until I reach final settlement with the insurance company for the medical part that I have to keep them around.
If, after final settlement, the other guys insurance doesn't ask for the stuff I'm free to do whatever I want with the bike/parts.

I asked about the HT because 20cm is in the range of the 61's, and it becomes a question of how the reach stacks <npi> up.

My wife is off to Basel Switzerland on business for a few days so I will be unsupervised. Normally, men need women to tell them what to do so I will be doing the best I can.

Well, shoot...I had the follow-up appointment with my bone doc yesterday morning. We talked about the collision, and then he pulled up the xray the ER had done when they told me that there were no breaks or dislocations and started laughing. He showed me the last one he had done when I had broken my clavicle and it had healed, and then the one from the ER. Collarbone's broken again, and the plate he had put in is bent slightly. The silver lining to this cloud is that he said the plate's not bent enough to require going back in to replace it, just going to let it heal as is. I'm off the bike for another month. The month with the best riding weather all year. Expletive.

One of our customers is a personal injury lawyer. He heard about what happened when he was in the shop yesterday and gave me his card. For the first time in my life, I'm considering using a lawyer for this, mainly to ensure I don't get screwed by the process.

The last mandatory off-the-bike time resulted in a 10% jump in FTP. It'd be nice if that happens again, but I ain't holding my breath.

As shovelhd has said - clean up/delete all public stuff (Here, Strava etc). Oposition will use any and all means to make it your fault

Pretty much. I'm steadily regaining range of movement, but my shoulder stays sore.

That is surprising as I was warned the bone is more likely to break at the ends of the plate. At least you don't have to go under the knife again!

I got a very lightly used Powertap G3 28h hub from a friend for $250, and will be getting a 24h version from him in a month for the same price. Looks like I'm staying with PT rather than going with Stages. The 28h version will go on the set of PSIMET wheels I got from @shovelhd, making them 11 speed capable. The 24h version will go either on the currently ten speed only Reynolds tubulars I just got, or on the factory wheels from whichever new bike I end up with. Even counting the cost of having the rear wheels rebuilt, it'll be cheaper than getting Stages at cost. Pretty happy with the way that turned out.

Glad I got that ride in today...

I have sold off a two tubluar cross wheel sets recently and popped for a Redline SSXC frame yesterday. I'll build up the bike as a fixie that I can put wide tires on for winter riding and when my training group rides railroad ballast and other impossible trails. I plan to put aero brake levers on it. It will be a plush ride over the Raleigh Rush Hour with heavy 28mm commuter tires and in-line brake levers that I rode the past few winters.

We need to compare fender notes.

The frame arrives next week while I'm mountain biking in Moab. I'll let you know how the fender eyelets are spaced and the width of a tire I can get on.

I'm wondering if something is up at home? I told my wife that she may need to sign for the frameset delivery when I'm in UT riding and she smiled and said "no problem, I'm glad your getting a new bike".

A few years ago I got home from a ride that had unexpected rain. I spent an hour or so in the garage cleaning the bike after I got home. After I went inside my said I probably needed to get a rain bike. I thought I was getting set up too until she made a side trip with me to a LBS to look at a belt drive Trek. I ended up with a used Bianchi Roger.

Of course, the last few years it's hardly rained in SoCal. I ride it when the roads are wet, rain or no rain.

Greetings from 40,000 ft above the California coast. Long story on why I bought internet access on my flight home from Seattle. Figured I might as well say hi since I'm online. Three days off the bike though I did a lot of standing and walking around a conference room as I was semi-facilitating (don't ask) a 2-day meeting.

Getting a bit worried that I'll be doing a lot of traveling in my new position which starts in 3 weeks. My past experience with frequent business travel and bike racing wasn't great. Sorry to see that some of you are on the mend. Glad that you are mending.
