Some people take altitude training to the extreme.
Travel in general leads to a case of Trainus Interruptus. I've got some coming up and I'm figuring out ways to not turn into a complete slug.

The frame arrives next week while I'm mountain biking in Moab. I'll let you know how the fender eyelets are spaced and the width of a tire I can get on.
I'm wondering if something is up at home? I told my wife that she may need to sign for the frameset delivery when I'm in UT riding and she smiled and said "no problem, I'm glad your getting a new bike".

I had reported on another thread that I was anxious to pull the trigger on the Oct. 23 Flo wheel sale and get, probably, a 60 for front and disk for the rear (TT bike). I got cold feet- not sure whether to get a 60 or 90 for the rear and just apply a Wheelbuilder cover -for flexibility. On the other hand, I know that taking the cover on and off would be an annoyance. I will have my stock Bontragers for training. Thoughts? Other brands?

It begins today when we go up the cabin for a couples weekend with family. Tomorrow is a Segway tour of some rich guys estate, followed with mass late in the afternoon, followed with card or board games in the evening. Sunday will have it's own agenda that probably wont include the Steeler's game. I've been warned to expect no fishing, no bike riding and only temperate consumption that may include wine tasting at the place where the wanna-be Harley riders assemble..

When we picked up our rental bikes at the shop in Moab last Sunday I was surprised that they were named. My brother in law got "Scorpion" and another guy got "Mustang". Mine was totally unexpected but destined.

I have the wheelbuilder cover. Takes about 15 minutes to put on if you use tape along with the screw thingies. Wouldn't want to do it every day, but it's not a big deal for just race days.

And I read somewhere else that the setup is every bit as aero as a disk wheel. I am going to look into total weight paired with various wheels.

The problem with buying a SSCX frame, then individual parts is that every time UPS or FedEx drops off a package my wife thinks its a ticket for new boots or shoes.

I used to do that. It worked for stems and tubes as they just put the package in my mailbox. But when wheels arrived I was "cautioned". The person who complained loves to bask in glory and show off the flowers her boy friend has delivered to her at work.
