Central PA - Route 120
I am thinking about long rides in nice weather, and i am thinking of a long ride in Central PA that includes PA Route 120 between Lock Haven and Renovo. Has anyone ever cycled that route, and if so what was it like. When driving it i seem to remember a nice shoulder along most of it, but i have never been there on my bike. Anyone who has cycled it i would appreciate your opinions.

I haven't had a chance to ride up there but my company flies small planes up to Lock Haven fairly often and it should be said to pack for contingencies in weather as clouds/rain can jump on you quickly in the mountains.

You can see it on Google Maps Street View. There is a decent sized shoulder, especially for a PA state highway.

Never did cycle this, but did drive it when I used to attend LHUP. Beautiful region and if I remember correctly some areas of the road did have a nice width to it. But I also remember some of the road just north of Lock Haven hardly had any extra room to it.
Used to go up to Hyner view to get away from school for a while. Been over 13 years ago so........it's been a while.
