Nope.

Dropped the bike off on friday. They actually surprised me by saying they could look at it and call me later that day. Of course the mechanic called me later that day to say "umm we are gonna need more time"

The worse thing is that while I was there I test rode a SRAM Rival equipped bike. Now I just wanna swap the whole group.

Ok, well my prime steed may be in the shop, but that didn't stop me. The whole family went out today. We met some friends on the NCR trail. Me and the wife on the tandem with the 2 kids in tow. This was our son's first time out and he did great. He is only 11 months old and managed to handle 2 hours of riding.

We did a ride in Southern part of Maryland today. It was a nice ride. 40 some miles with some good hills sprinkled here and there.

Well, I almost never have posted here. I only got to chase my daughter around trying to get her off training wheels, and a spin class. I've spent the rest of the day compiling data for our resident genius's (I'm really not kidding) science fair project (He's 10). I'm going to try to get a ride in after work tomorrow, then Tuesday, assuming weather holds, I'm getting the new bike. -D I'm getting the OCR.

That stuff sounds fun too. When we got back my daughter wanted to ride her bike. (she is almost 4). I hope she catches the bug...

Mine's 8, and a huge drama queen. (She's literally my ballerina.) I'm just going to get her out there and let her play until she picks up confidence. I've tried everything but patience so far. Guess I'm just a ****.

Just looked at the forecast for the next couple of days, >:-(!!! Rain!

One of our regular riders brought his son out today on his new "Specialized" rode bike. They rode with us for a while before the son got dropped hard, but Joel took a bisecting route and found us back at the end. It seemed like a great Father / Son ride for them today. The boy looked so happy to be riding with his dad.

Cheers

Derath -- the family rode the NCR last spring and it was such a great trip. We did it as a mini-tour, riding all the way to York, spent the night and then came back. It was the first time either my wife or son had ridden more than 20 miles in a day or more than one day in a row. It is such a nicely maintained trail.

I've been sick, overwhelmed at work, a lot of non-work obligations all of a sudden, and getting ready to move, so I've been a real slacker. I was able to get out for a 20-mile ride on Sunday, in the hills up my way. After turning south onto York Road from Cold Bottom, I managed to hit 37 mph on the downhill. Too much fun!!

Rock climbing pictures usually suck because you get a pix of someone's backside as they scale the rock. You really have to want to take pictures to get good ones. One climber has to go up another route, tie off and shoot another climber from above. Charlie

Wow Maxine, that's a lot of miles back to back to back. I was thinking about the Pitt to DC trail, 300 plus miles but was thinking 4 days. Do report back on your journey. Charlie

The Wednesday HoCoCyclists ride this week had about 25 people. The weather was pretty decent (a little windy) and I was feeling pretty good at the start. Unfortunately for me I forgot to use my inhaler before the ride and I paid for it around mile #7. I completed the ride, but never really recovered from my mini-asthma attack. Once the days get a little bit longer there will be close to, or more than, 40 people on these rides. Ride details here.

Anyone doing the Icicle Metric in Delaware this weekend? I did it last year and gotta admit the hills just about killed me! I am hoping to do much better this year.

I haven't even heard of that one. Sadly it has been a beautiful week and the only time I have touched my bike is when I picked it up at the shop.

Sweet! When do ya wanna ride?

They had to drill out the crank bolt. Turns out the creaking was just some grit in the BB. Pulled the cranks and BB bearing and cleaned the BB area out.

On the plus side they actually charged me a whopping $0

Who is they? I'm going to try to do a longer ride tomorrow if you are available.

Ya know I thought the same thing last year when I did the Patuxent Rural Legacy ride in PG county. Boy was I wrong.
