Shimano Chain Pin Compatiability

I just got some new 10spd Shimano chain pins. It says they are for CN7801/6600 10S chain. I'm trying to use these on a HGX-HG95 chain though. Will this work?

The pins have two lines around them. I tried doing some searching for chain pin compatibility but I'm not seeing anything useful. Does this need to be this complicated to change a chain pin?

Here is a similar thread, but I'm not seeing a conclusion.
