Pardon my poor photog. skills:

Mid-year bonus paid for the frame, fork and wheels, I purchased the rest.

Relevant Detail:

Ritchey hardtail P-650b
1x10 setup from a bastardized triple; 30t up front, 11-36 rear
Fox Float 32, 100mm, Kashima
Reynolds R27.5 XC, Maxxis Ardent EXO, configured tubeless

Changes to be made:

New seatpost and saddle, the one in there is a 350mm that I took off another bike that I hardly ride, and is slightly too short
Chop down steerer
New pedals/shoes
Maybe nicer stem and bars later on, but that's just for vanity

Nice bike. I rode a hardtail for years here ( I am in San Diego too) Works great. But man when I moved to a FS I really appreciate it, I am less beat up after rides we have allot of trail chatter here. Had my FS in the shop for a major service and rode my 26 hardtail and it was a blast, nothing wrong with that style. The XT brakes are awesome. On thing I would suggest if you are not setup tubeless to go that route and Ardents have a great reputation. And with the hardtail maybe some quality carbon bars would be sweet. And a dropper post is the best thing I ever bought for my MTB. I think the radio tower you hit might be double peak? A relatively new trail on Black Mountain called Lilac. It is connected to the old miners loop and crosses into the Lusardi loop. Good luck and have fun on the new rig looks sweet

Cool, thanks for your thoughts. I'll have to try FS someday, as I agree that there is a lot of chatter/rocks in the trails here. And yes, the XT hydraulic discs are awesome.

The wheels are setup tubeless. I had originally intended to go tubed, as it was a familiar technology to start with, but the mechanic at my LBS convinced me otherwise. I made sure to get tubeless compatable rims in case I wanted to try it.

The radio tower I speak of is in a short little range called the San Marcos Mountains. There's not really a whole lot to it, which is why I was so surprised to find such a well made trail.

Anyways, thanks again.
