Sharing my experience - "Rockrider 540 Women"
Hi,
Just share a conclusion: If you want to buy a bicycle to your girlfriend / wife and you go to decathlon be ready to spend more than you are expecting. 😊
I was considering buying the Rockider 520 and I ended up purchasing the "Rockrider 540 Women".
Reasons to buy the 540women vs 520
My wife preferred the white color. Hehe!!
The seat was much more comfortable.
Is it worth the price difference? - my opinion No. I shared the idea to buy the seat and have it in the 520... But she didn't like the other colors at all... just the white option.
I also didn't find much difference in the front suspension.
What I’ve really noticed: - the breaks are noticeable better.
We also tried the 520s(full suspension) - It feels heavier. She didn't find interesting in having full suspension for the type of cycling we do. – Hardtail is better option.
My opinion and suggestion’s for the rockrider 540.
1-The guy in the store spend almost 1hour preparing the bike - ensure you ask to have the gears configured properly. Gears worked fine only after quite a good amount of professional work.
2-The breaks are very good - quite soft. You feel the a progressive sensitivity while you push less and more the breaks - Hydraulic breaks work very well. You feel the difference from the 520 that are mechanical.
3 - Suspension - didn't really do a proper test, but they look quite good in reviews - SUNTOUR XCT 100
4 - This women seat is much more comfortable than the men seat models. Yes... more comfortable even for the males
5 - Very confortable.
6 - 14Kg is not a heavy. but is not light.
7 - 27.5 x 2.0 - I would go for a 29'' but for my wife 27.5 was better option.
The top plus:
Confort.
