Neither of those! What you want is a Giant Talon-1. Very cool

The giant is a boring old XC hardtail. OP is looking at two slack trail hardtails one with a dropper already. I really don't think a talon is what he is interested in. Personally I'd lean towards the DB since it is already setup the way I'd like with a 1x and dropper post. I've never ridden + size tires though and don't know how much I'd like them. Everybody I know with them loves the things.

I was looking at the Giant alright but like that i didn't think it was very excitin.
Think i might go for the DB for somethin different but also set up a bit more.

I recommend a rigid urban MTB - the Marin Muirwoods and Raleigh Redux are good for what you want to do and you can also ride off road with them.
