Bruiser2, I wish my Bruiser 2 looked like yours! Mine is still stock, and is in the backyard in pieces.

For Quality, I think I'd rather have a Norco Rival instead of a trek Bruiser 2.

i didnt catch how much you paid for your Bruiser!?
thats a hot looking bike !
i was thinking of getting a Gf-Marlin or Mullet.
but am now thinking maybe a Bruiser.
think they have one w/disc brakes.
probley dont need ,but they look cool.
how does your bruiser do when your on the street?
whats the longest you have ridden it so far at one time?

It came in under $400. I think $380... or something like that.
The Bruiser is heavy. It's great and rock solid but on the street it is heavy and the off-road tires are a pain. I've been on it on a 7-hour ride one time. My legs were killing me because it was all road!
Take it off-road however and it goes through anything. Off-road is where it really shines. Grass, dirt, and anything you can throw at it. I can't stress enough how fun it is off-road. I test MY abilities when I'm riding it off-road, not the bike's capabilites. Now that the snow might be coming, I'm hoping I could use it over the winter.
Sorry it took so long to reply to your post, I don't come back as much as I used to. If you have any more questions though, I'll answer them.

I also have a Bruiser 1, i love it, the longest i've rode is 42 miles at one time on it. I have the 14.5" frame, if you adjust the seat height just right it doesn't fatigue the body much on long rides, now every other time i ride the seats down.
-Bruiser 1 -$409
Upgrades so far
-Race Face Evolve DH crank and ISIS Evolve DH bottom bracket - $70 (who cares if it's `04 that made it cheaper) and $50
-e.13 SRS chain guide - $121
-FSA pro DH chain ring - $34
-Race Face Diabolous seat post - $70
-Maxxis Minion 26x2.35 rear tire (find it amazing now with the Earl up front and Minion in the rear) - $40
-SRAM PC97 chain (shortened to fit 8 speed) - $30
to come shortly
-Halo SAS wheels 48 spoke rear and 36 spoke front (in white)
-Avid BB7's 185mm front 160mm rear
-(hopefully) Fox Vanilla or Talas RLC (most likely) Manitou Stance Flow or Marzocchi 66VF
-Deity stem and Bars
-Shimano XT rear derailleur
and then... my bike is where i want it to be.
the rim brakes now are so so but on fast downhills prove to be inadequate, i have a couple small flat spots in the rear rim from botched attempts riding street. the fork is starting to show age, deity bars and stems come in white enough said, and my rear derailleur is an Acera(enough said) it has quirks

For freeride you generally don't want a frame quite that big, it's harder to control (i think) than a smaller bike which is IMO easier to maneuver and control
here's mine
here's mine

idk whos bike your talking about being an 18/19 inch bike...i dont think its mine b/c its a 16.5 and also i agree i dont really like 19inch+ frames, what do you think a seatpost is for....it can be risen to anyheight needed and the smaller frame is alot more flickable in the air and stuff....

he was saying he wishes they made the bruiser in a 18/19 inch size. But that would almost defeat the purpose of the bruiser.

i'm glad to see that more people realize how good of a deal the bruiser is. i think the components may be a little sub par, but the frame is great. my bruiser is pretty much stock, but hopefully by next summer, that will change.
go clubruiser.

Well, a Bruiser 1/2 is a TON cheaper than a 3, but who wouldn't want a 3?!
So, whats the official name of the club? Any other suggestions besides CluBruiser?

i personally would rather have a Session 77 than a Bruiser 3, i don't like the rear suspension design of the B3
