I have a specialized rockhopper comp.
I climb alot with it.
the downside about climbing is the descent(no pun intended).
frequently on the way down my rockshox pilot will bottom out.
ive tried adjusting it but cant find a sucessful way.
anyone have an idea for a fork for climbing/downhill.
i was thinking about the cannondale lefty becuase of the quick thumb adjustment.
is there a generic thumb adjuster i could put on any fork or is that exclusive to the lefty.
any other suggestions i didnt get the lefty becuase its quite expensive thanks.

You can't use a Lefty on anything but a Cannondale.

What about an MX Ckmp with eta? Quite light, strong enough to take the smacks, and the ta is good for climbing hills.

Best part of it is the fact that it would actually FIT his bike

the mx comp looks great and eta is that little thumb adjuster thing where on the fly i can make it stiffer or plusher right?

i think on the mx comp its on the fork, although you may be able to buy the adjuster to go on your bars, and yes, your right about making it more stiff and softer.

No. The ETA lever simply drops the fork, allowing only about 30mm of travel. Release the knob and it springs back up to full travel. It does nothing to the "plushness" of the fork. It is intended simply to lower the angle of your bike when you attack a steep hill, and it works fairly well in that regard.

PS - I have a Rockhopper Comp with this fork as well. It is a good combo.
