No dripping. Did you bite way too hard opening up the big bite valve perhaps?

The directions say o roll it between your fingers to open it for the first time. My original Big Bite valve doesn't leak

It didn't drip at all for the first six months or so. Now, it drips for awhile after I take a swig, especially if the reservoir is full or almost full. Probably just wears out like everything else.

Cycoactive Forest Hemp. I know, it makes me sound like a dirty hippie, but I just thought it was neat. Not the coolest pack, but it works well for me. Hauls all my tools and water-what more do ya need? Had to replace the reservoir a while back so I got an actual Camelbak one from the LBS. Lovin' it!

Got a GoBe, too, but it's a little small, plus I have to wear it awfully tight to keep it from hangin' on the seat or low branches. It's better for short rides.

I also have the mule and love the thing. i had a performance hydration system before and it leaked out faster than i could suck down the water - so i decided to fork out the money and get a mule and have never regretted it. however, i too commute and it's nowhere near enough space for clothes, lunch, etc... thought about upgrading to the hawg but that' probably not enough room either. also, not sure i want that much weight on my back when i'm riding anyhow.

I don't know if it is my favorite, but I use a GoLite Spin and am happy with it.

Deutor M3 with Camelbak hotshot bladder. M3; lots of room, well thought out ergonomics, VERY much air flow on my back, insulated , looks good, fits low on my back when I want it and adjusts up or down real quickly, good price at full retail($60)

hotshot; 3 liter, baffled bladder, insulated bladder, tube, and valve( I had the water in my tube AND bag freeze during a ride last year. no more). hydrolock is great to keep from accidentily wasting water on long trips, big opening for cleaning and ice cube insertion $35
under $100 full retail I have Exactly the hydration pack I want. without having to sell a kidney to pay for it
