why not!
I was wondering (i have a kikapu) why cant i do do some 3ft drops. the guy at the lbs said its an xc bike and if i was doing any drops i should get the dawg(the dawg has the same shock), well i didnt want to spend another 300 and i didnt want hydro brakes. the bike has the same rear shock as the enduro and that is said to be able to take some sizable drops.(well it is the float and the enduro has the floatR) i am not going to do any damage to the rims. the linkage cant take it, the rocker is too small? i am confused here can someone clarify this for me, thanks.

Swingarm and linkages aren't built the same way. They are built with light and fast not go big and strong in mind. Parts on it are specced for xc. Yes they can and will survive but eventually they would likely break.

Yeah. But I also saw some guy on an XC dual suspension drop-jump off of a teeter at two feet, but he goes far enough past the teeter to land on a downhill. Krazy guy.
XC bikes make a "crunch-clank-boing" sound when they drop 3 feet.

mybe i am exagerating it is more like a foot at the most a foot3/4. there are some 3 ft drops but they have a part on the side you can bypass them. but in some parts there are 5 or 6 1 ft steps going down and it would be much easier to just go down them all then to ride up the side(it is kind up cut in so you can go up the side and around the steps.
