105mm vs 130mm

Hey guys i currently have a 2005 Hardrock pro disc with the stock 100mm marzocchi mz comps. The fork has 100mm of travel but i plan on upgrading to the marzocchi eta's. My question is that the zoke eta's either come with 105mm of travel or 125mm or is it 130mm of travel? But my question is that if i do decide to get the 125mm or 130mm will their be any consequences of getting a fork that has more travel than the frame was designed for? Or will the only real difference be that one has another ince of travel and the other does not? thanks for any info

If you like the way your bike handles now then I wouldn't recommend going with the 130 mm. It will definately change the head tube angle of the bike therefore change the way it handles.

On top of that it may void your warranty.

Yup. Adding an inch + worth of travel can certainly screw things up. Go with the 105 for the best handling

it will feel as though you are riding on a chopper, which is not bad on the street but sucks when off road. its not worth it, the 105mm w/ETA is an excellent fork and wont change anything in the way the bike handles other than a SWEET option for climbing. BTW the ETA when engaged makes the bike MUCH stiffer when engaged which makes climbing better by far but roots and rocks on hills will be a bit of a new experience
