FOX vs. MArZO
I am buying a new Santa Cruz Heckler and I have a chioce to pick a FOX Vanilla 130RLC fork or a Marzocchi 66RC fork. I primarly ride technical XC hard, but I am looking into more drops, but nothing over four or five feet. What would you choose? My LBS recommended the FOX because it is lighter and better built, but that is what brand the shop also sold. So i would like a second (or third) opinon on these two forks. Thanks.

The 66RC is in a different league than the Vanilla. You cannot compare the two forks.
For the riding you will be doing, I would definitely recommend the Vanilla.

The Marzocchi 66RC is more of a extreme freeride/downhill fork and probably wouldn't suit you. Where the fox vanilla on the other hand is more of a freeride/all mountain fork. So in other words, the Fox would suit you best.

Ditto on the Fox. You should look at getting the Push version of the Vanilla fork. Go to https://www.pushindustries.com/index.php and read up under the Fork Products section "2006 FOX Vanilla 130RLC Factory Fork System". It's $100 more than the regular Vanilla but everything I've heard/read about this fork says it's really tops.
Worst case, buy a regular Fox Vanilla and when it's time to rebuild it, send it to Push.
