Light and Motion Arc HID first ride...

Technically my second ride but the first complete ride with the light. This light absolutly kicks muchass! The way it casts light from your front tire about 25 feet wide and then puts a spot 40 feet in front is impressive. I have been into off road desert racing for sometime now and when we turn on the HIDs they light up a complete desert so thats what I was expecting out of this light...yes very high expectations I was a bit dissapointed at first but then a few other guys on the trails had nite rider HID's and this thing blew them out of the water. After about 3 or 4 miles I was stoked on the light...lit up all I needed.

I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend it. I am using the helmet set up as the bar set up wouldnt work well with the way I turn the bars when I climb plus it had to be about 8 inches from my computer to not interfere with it. It doesnt interfere with my HRM in either mounting position. The on and off of the light is very easy and switching between hi and low is easy although the difference is so subtle I dont think its worth it to run it on the low power for only an extra 30 minutes of run time.

I recommend this light 100%. I encountered 3 HID's on the trail and mine took the cake hands down. One on comer said "JESES CHRIST thats a F-in light" and a lady walking her bike on the wrong side of the street said walking at me said "God dam why dont you turn that thing off when coming at people" so I now cover my light with my hand when people are coming directly at me!

Cant wait to get out tonight...

That's cool. But I didn't want to spend the money, so I got this instead. 13w HID, 4000mAh Li-Ion battery. $220. Had it for a few months now. It's no-frills to be sure, but works great.

What sort of battery life are you seeing? Just curious.
