Getting to the top was a bugger after the Christmas / New Year cheer, but the descent was oh so sweet.

I went downhilling for the first time today. Sketchy. I also experienced my first snow ride today as well.

We did our weekly Thursday niteride down in roberthurst/mrgrunt's neighborhood last night.

Took the new hardtail for a ride this morning. Man it was cooold. Loving the simplicity of a hardtail 1x10 though. I think this bike is going to see a lot of use.

Thinking to stick a fatbike fork/wheel on the front - shorter fork but taller tire will about equal the front end height of the 160mm fork when sagged.

Went for a night ride last night. Stopped for some water and to give the pup a break and when i shined my light up into the hills there was about 5-6 pairs of eyes glaring back at me. Creepy...

Was even colder a couple hours earlier, when I took the dog out for her run. Then spent the rest of the afternoon on the current project - insulating my very chilly garage.
It'll stay warmer/be easier to get warmed up to comfot when working out there, and will reduce the rest of the houses energy costs as a bonus. I'm about halfway done. Slow going - pulling down the existing/older inner bits then putting in the insulation bits, and paneling over is time consuming. 3/4 hardwood ply on the walls - so I can attach things as needed, and 1/4 moisture resistant luan board on the ceiling.

Then, when all that is done, I can get the whole thing more organized/put together, so I can have room to get my tablesaw up and running for a few other things.

yesterday, we decided to hop on a ferry and go to Samal Island.
We finished the 30+km ride (map only shows the ride within the island), in about 2 hours, with a stopover at the Azalea Peak.

it was a fun and easy ride.
