I'm 6 foot 2 inches tall and ride a 20.5" Yeti ARC and a 19 " Jamis Dakota FS . 21 or 22 inches is way too big for you if 186cm = just over 6 feet. I ride a 60 cm road bike measured C-C .

Quote: definitely go for the smaller KTM frame. listen to the other people here. i believe the trend is to have somewhat smaller frames than those calculators predict. you will get the appropriate layout for your size from the handle bar and seat adjustments and stuff.

don't worry about the LX vs. XT...the LX will be great!

i am not from Europe. i know KTM makes quality motorcycles and unless they decided to crap out on their bicycle line, i would definitely chose the KTM.

you are contemplating the frame size way too much.
I think this KTM bikes has nothing to do with ktm motorcycles: they are tottaly different manufactory.. just has the same name..

maybe a little bigger frame (cm or so) is more confortable than i little smaler?

When using calculators i calaculated something between 21 and 22 for hartail c to top...

calculators ar SO differrent.. it is hard to get the same results with differrent caluclators..

they have to be the same. they both use the same "KTM" symbol. i'd hate to be the first to break it to either of the companies that there are major copyright violations. unless they don't apply in other countries. both places are from austria...right?

austrian made...just like arnold. good things come from austria. they had to start somewhere. i am not a mtb bike history buff, but i don't think the "current" mtb came about until the early to mid 1980's. so motorcyles had a major head start.

KTM motorcylces have come a long way since about the mid to later 1990's. i certainly wouldn't be ashamed of riding a current KTM motorcycle. However, i have ridden only Honda CRs since about 1992.

I think Merida has pretty lighter frames than KTM..

Merida 22" with hidr disc is 12,7 kg, and KTM 21" with hidr disc is 13,5 kg

How do you mean integrated headsets??

Headset is usually a special and separate part that mounts on the frame..

Whatf?

It means that it can not be replaced or what?
What when it deteriorates or brokes?
