Got the first goal of 2006 done today, a solo unsupported all mountain century 8 and a half hours later I arrive to find a few boxes, most of them from michelin. Put a set of all mountains on the Kona, and decided to see what it weighed in at. Couldn't believe my eyes, when the bikes weight came to be 30 pounds(29.9 pounds exactly.)

To put in rookie terms.
Did a century on the dirt.
Weighed bike for the first time since changing the fork, pedals and tires, came in lighter than expected.

Congrats on meeting your goal, and what a goal it is. 100 miles is a long way, most people probably couldn't ride 100 road miles on a 17lb road bike.

160 km in 8.5 hours - that's almost 19 km/h! Holy crap - were you drafting behind a pack of stampeding cattle?
Most of the long rides around here involve too much climbing to allow for a pace that fast. What sort of terrain were you on?

I did it at Round Valley with the Cushetunk extension. The weight was around 38 pounds.

So Kona, what are some of your other goals? Backflip tailwhip? 24 hr solo? 100 foot drop?

No desire to do a backflip tailwhip, or a 100 foot drop.
A solo 24 hr is one of the goals. The solo century goal was a feeler for the 24 hour goal.
Been training for it since mid December, so I was prepared for the miles easily.

training since mid december is not that long, you must have already been prepared for the most part
