go with the giant! I have worked in shops that sell both bikes. Raleighs come outa the box like drap, the giants dont...so right there that tells you a good deal about the company. Now when we went to warranty any of the parts that they messed up...it took freakin forever to get them swapped out! Raleigh is one of the most difficult companies to deal with period! I also like giants...good bike at a good price, and a great company. I work at a shop now that doesn't sell giant, I went back to my old shop just to buy one, if that gives you any idea how much I believe in them.
