hey RICO, the AMSOIL sticker, does that indicate that you're using AMSOIL suspension fluid? If so, which one.

That is correct blazin. I'm an AMSOIL dealer and the last time I rebuilt my fork I put in 10W synthetic oil. It calls for both 5w and 10w but I only bought the 10w and used it on both sides. The fork is working just fine with 10w. The synthetic oil will reduce fade built up by heat much better than conventional oil.

Almost there...

Still looking for a nicer set of cranks, and I should probably hack off the rest of the steer tube one of these days.

sweet, so. hmmm... do you have any suggestions for what I could put in my Shiver that would be suitable for use. I love AMSOIL, I used it in my Blazer last time I changed the oil and it's quite nice

I have no knowledge of the shiver so I really can't say. I would contact the manufacturer and ask them what wieght oil they suggest. 5w is probably the most common, I went with 10w so the fork would dampin better with the thicker oil.
