Just got my 2008 Redline D460 29er. As you can see I haven't had a chance to do anything to it. The stock platforms are still on it. My new Egg Beaters haven't come yet. Still some other adjustments to be made too. I cut the bars down 2" but I think they may still be a little longer than I like. Still getting used to a rigid bike with 29's. Both firsts for me.

The frame is a 17", I am probably going to get an 18 soon enough or perhaps a 19. I don't know whether to get a full suspension or a hardtail. I'm tied between the Voodoo sobo or whatever it's called and the Dragon team.

Joe, that frame isn't 17", my frame is 17 you goof.

Thats not that horrible an idea.... Its not like it would affect the way the fork functions, the wire would just move when the fork was compressed a lot.

Apparently you still haven't learned the "think first, then post" lesson.
What can happen to that loose wrap of wire on tight trails? (it's more prone to snag compared to someone's wire that is zip tied to the arch/fork leg). Why have a wire covered in crud rubbing your stanchions when it can be zip tied to the arch/fork leg? What's the advantage? http://paradigmhosting.net/images/wirewrapisstupid.jpg |

Edit: Looking at again maybe it's just racey. But that still looks like a whole lot of post. |
