Bikes: Gunnar Rock Hound (https://gunnarbikes.com/rockhound.php)

Here is a better picture in daylight. I have upgraded the frame to a 2006 Gunnar Rock Hound, the shifters were upgraded to XTR M970 with XTR shift cables, the Thomson stem and XT front dérailleur came with the frame and I have added a Chris King NoThreadSet I picked up on CraigsList. With the 1 1/2" seat post increase and 2" top tube increase has made the ride more comfortable.

I am not sure. It is in the San Gabriel mountains just north of the 210 freeway. Not too sure of the city either: maybe Altadena?

gunnar.

On that gunnar, is the thomson in the wrong way, like backwards? Every other thomson I've seen has had the thomson logo facing the other way.

It could be. I took it apart and did not realize which direction was front. I'll have to turn it around tonight. Thanks.

I bought this bike as is and have no issues with saddle/post or anything else. If there is something wrong with either of these components I have not found it yet.

Ok, I fixed the seat post. Here is a pair of pictures depicting old and new frames. The Gunnar is more comfortable for me. My son is re-building the GT and should be up and riding in a few weeks.

My Monkey's been outside since I got back to school, and is being ridden. She got all salty so I cleaned her again, only to find a rusty Brooks. I immediately cleaned the Brooks its original sheen, cleaned and put a different saddle on the Monkey: Serfas Stinger RS, titanium rails=no rust. Right?

Sorry, they're taken in my dorm.

Bikes: A blue one and a black one.

still using the triple triangle design. sweet looking bike! MBA featured a lot of new GTs last year sometime... they all looked pretty cool and well speced. i bet it'd be worthwhile to check out their website... again, very sweet looking bike. how much does it weigh?
