Bikes: 2011 SE Old Man Flyer.

It drives now but I still need to get safety done on it, should be road legal in about a week or so.

new ride:

More photos when I get it home (I'm at the 'rents for break right now) and make the changes I want on it.

what it will have on it:
KCNC prolite seatpost
X.0 gripshift
med cage rear derailleur
middleburn rs8 duo cranks (for 2x9)
rictchey wcs overside bar
King/Stans Olympic wheels
Craptastic midgit SID for '08 SID WC (actually adds weight, but removes death-flex)

Sits at 21.4lbs as is. Just the wheels/tires drops it down to 20.2. Should be under 19 after everything else is swapped.

So you went from a full suspension 29er to a hardtail 26er. How come?

Currently it has a Tanabe cat-back system, COBB intake, and short throw shifter. Won't be long till it gets full turbo-back, COBB access port, t4, STi intercooler, and a 40shot Zex kit.

Me? No I went 26 FS to 26 HT. Yeti ASR carbon to the Alma. Why? Because hardtails are faster for me.
I was thinking about the Alma 29er, but rode a couple friends 29ers for a few weeks and even though I really like some things about them, I absolutely hated them for downhills and quick, techy riding. The rear wheel was the problem for me - I couldn't kick it around like I wanted to. I want to try a 69er for that reason

Oh, okay, for some reason I thought you had one of those Niners. I'm also curious to try one of Trek's 69ers now that they've expanded the lineup.

Don't run red lights, wear a helmet, use hand signals, get some cycle lights(front and rear) and, FFS, don't run red lights!

Here is my '07 stumpy Elite. Finally back riding trails but tonight and tomorrow we are looking
at 12 inches of the white stuff. Alot of upgrades so far: I9 wheelset, new candy SL, Nokian studs,
Handlebar and stem, blah blah blah. I really like this bike alot for all around type of riding.
