Yow! A blast from the past. I'm young again, even though those cranks were the flexiest, most pasta-like cranks I ever used.

Yeah, they're certainly not beefy, but I've had a soft spot for cook since i was a 14-year-old shoprat.

Being light and weak definitely makes them more bearable, too.

Maybe I should ditch the v-brakes on that ride and throw on a nice set of mafac cantis.

New fork, what is it?

Nuke proof hubs with Ti-dye spokes even. Those are Avid Tri-Aligns.

You'd be surprised, I haven't caught 'em yet. This build was sort of a joke, though, the keiki is usually much more comfortable like this:

I'm adding brakes to my purple bike:

And yes there is a reason the lever is inverted, Tecktro levers like to hit my knee's and take pieces out, so I'm using a front lever flipped over so the smooth part is on the bottom. I snapped the regular brake cable, this dérailleur cable was all I could find on short notice. I doubt it will hold long and you can bet it will fail at the most inopportune time.

Decade-old kona OEM cranks. I bet if I fight through the grime, they'll probably be SR Sakae of some sort.

Any reason for running a road brake cable?

Heh, it's a dérailleur cable. I snapped the ball off of the other cable I had so I just slid this through the housing.
