On the Gt there's a Maxxis holy roller on the front, and a Geax tattoo on the rear.

What size's? And which one do you like better?

My Mojo. I'm a clyde (~260lbs) so even though I do XC it's set up super beefy... Hutchinson 2.3 tubeless and custom hand-built wheels that will probably outlive me.

Pizza-pan sized front disk rotor, normal in the back.

Great bike. Climbs extremely well even given the super heavy wheel setup.

Zaskar24 04-13-08 03:42 PM

schnee,
That's a great looking Mojo. That is a carbon frame isn't it? How have you found it is in the rigidity side of things. I'm a Clyde as well though about 40 pounds lighter and have been afraid of a carbon frame because of my weight. Anyhow, great looking ride and enjoy!

This is presently my commuter, built-up to XC race specs. At 21lbs- I shock road bikers, as I blow by them, at 35mph. The super-light Optimo frame, Kenda Klimax race tires, Mavic XC717/DT Swiss 240s wheelset, and 11-25t Dura Ace cassette altogether makes this bike climb like a billy goat on crack.

M_S 04-13-08 06:23 PM

35 mph? Planning on going pro any time soon?

dirtbikedude 04-13-08 06:35 PM

Actually, Jenson ships Scotts.

farmer michael 04-13-08 06:52 PM

Nice Scott, looks stealthy...

The holy roller is 26 x 2.4 and the tattoo is 26 x 2.3. I got the tattoo because I wore out the holy roller which I had on the rear. They both grip fine on the street, and if you let the pressure down a little the holy roller still grips on dusty hardpack. I like combination of the two, I dont know how the tattoo would go on the front because I haven't tried it.

ps. Geax are generally cheaper.

Yeah, but I will not by a bike over the net plus the fact that Jenson only has the Carbon versions in stock at the moment and my wife knows i will not ride a carbon mtb.

Very prudent.

Anyhow, ride hard, and we expect a review.

Soon.

Or else.

NICE American Classics!

Pedal Force MT XC build 18 lbs.

Currently being rebuilt with a few different upgrades and a bit of a different direction but will still be as light. I will be tuning the XTR front and rear derailleurs soon I hope or I might be changing the front derailleur over to an Ultegra or Dura-ace and tune that. I am running this set up with a 68 X 108bb so a road derailleur will work great for this 2 X 9 set up. I changed out the KCNC brakes and am now using some Vuelta Tuned brakes with Extralite levers. Changed to an Easton Monkey lite riser bar but will cut down the steerer a bit more to have the bars in the same position height wise. Full Nokon cables and I have tuned the shifters a bit with aluminum bolts. Standard SLR saddle and not the Carbonio version pictured. Last change was the wheels. I have an older pair of Mavic 517 with Specialized hubs (Hugi relabed as Spec). The only problem is that the front axel is the skewer on the hub so it does not allow for a standard skewer. I will take care of that by getting an insert made at work out of aluminum or Delrin to reduce the inside diameter to the correct size for a regular skewer and then go with the KCNC skewers that I have on order.

Just picked this up this week. It's my first mountain bike. I'll be putting on some better tires tonight and hitting the trail tomorrow morning. Can't wait!
If anyone can give me an idea of the year on this bike I'd really appreciate it.
