By the way, both users got that bike within this year, same color also. |
Here's mine.
It's a 1998 Trek 8000 with the following mods... Marzocchi Bomber Z2 fork (2000) SRAM X9 drivetrain (2006) USE XCR suspension seatpost (2000) Specialized Rival seat (2007) Shimano M540 pedals (2006) Bontrager Race Lite crankset (2006) I've done downhill, and x-country at Bromont, in Quebec. Also do alot of bikepaths, which means trying to keep everything as light as possible. Saddlebags are great to have when doing the bikepaths, but the rack comes off when doing x-country. (so do the sem-slick tires, and these Michelins are put on) http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j4...k20may2007.jpg Looks pretty good for a bike with over 9300kms that has seen lots of downhill activity, eh? |
Mirror-Polished floor distracts attention from the bike :)
|
rain, rain, go away... but it makes his red tires look so shiny!
Here's mine. I've only just started modifying it, so it's mostly original equipment, save for the clipless pedals and new saddle: http://i12.tinypic.com/52el5pc.jpg |

I agree with z415's friend that the fork isn't that great for heavier people, as I'm 240 lbs. and definitely wish the fork was a little better. I have to set the preload basically as stiff as it will go, lest I ride around with a half-compressed fork all the time. I guess it's better than having a cheap RST or Suntour fork though. |

Still dont get it... skeet shooting?

Yes I understand what "skeet" means, the verb and the noun. How does such a release of bodily fluids pertain to a bike?

I could be wrong, though. I'll sneak in a pic of my just completed road bike. Sorry about the bluriness. I wanted to use natural light and not the flash but didn't have a tripod with me. http://stradasystems.com/mtb/images/DSCN4361.jpg |
My current bike as of right now.
I should be picking up my KHS 604 frame today and transfering everything over to it except the fork. Yeee haaaaw http://farm1.static.flickr.com/222/5...ea26c891_b.jpg |

oh god this is embarassing.

Here's my "rig". It weighs 45lbs and creaks like no other. $75 well spent, I suppose. :o :D http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...m/DSCF3029.jpg |

http://img255.imageshack.us/img255/3...ont1xl9.th.jpg http://img255.imageshack.us/img255/3...0898ag5.th.jpg Giant Faith 2. Excellent for downhill. I wanna replace the fork and am already replacing the pedals. I'll end up replacing the fork when I've worn it out. Right now I'm having issues with the rear wheel and I'll have someone at the bike shop look at it. |
