Mostly on the road and race forums but here's my Asylum OCD. It's a 29er. SRAM, Avid Juicy, Rock Shox Reba, Chris King, Easton carbon post/bar, other bits I've forgotten. All up weight is about 29.5, which isn't too bad. It supplements my 12 year old Merlin Mountain, which waits patiently for a going over before I put it back on the trail.
I have no frame of reference except my Merlin but I am definitely faster everywhere but possibly the road on this thing. Up hills, downhills, whatever. I love it. The running joke among my friends is that I bought a skills upgrade. Not inaccurate, I guess. http://www.bikeforums.net/attachment...4&d=1185833907 |
