Avid BB7 installing problem :(

I really have a serious problem installing my New Avid BB7, it seems that they just don't want to fit , I am wondering if it's my bike or a fabrication issue.
here are some pics
This is My new toy in his box

The brake look not right, it's logically impossible to fit the disc in it, I know it's not bolted hard, I tried it but it doen't change anything

This is the suspect

I really need help
Thank you
Sorry for the pictrures size

OK, look at the 3rd pic...see that bent stack of curved washers?

loosen the bolts for those after mounting them to the fork, compress the bcaliper so it grabs the disc (use the brake lever, NOT the caliper arm)...once it does that, gently tighten them...then release the brake lever, and then torque them down.

What's going on is your caliper is misaligned. my disc clamp trick helps assure a decent grab...from there you can do fine adjustments to get optimal braking power, less squeal, etc.

edit (clarification): those curved washers are supposed to allow the caliper to adjust to many different angles during installation if needed....it's actually a good thing comapred to calipers without them...it just takes some getting used to when mounting, since it's easy to forget this critical step of caliper alignment.

Level the caliper out by using the swivel washers (the bowl shaped ones).

All of this is in the instructions. Which raises the question why didn't he read them in the first place. https://www.sram.com/_media/techdocs/...60-install.pdf

Actually it doesn't because you ask it. "Beg the question" means to wave it off or pass it over, usually because the answer is self-evident.

[/Rant] Sorry, Raiyn, don't mean to pick at you; journalists even (who really should know better) seem to be misusing it with increasing frequency. It's just a pet peeve of mine that sets my teeth on edge every time I encounter it.

No worries. How should I have phrased it then? I considered "Which makes me wonder" and a couple others.

Damn, I really must have mellowed in my time away.

Haha - - I guess! I was gritting my teeth...waiting

You could also say "Which raises the question..." I have a feeling in another ten years common usage is going to have run so roughshod over the phrase that the neaning will have changed.

Yep, it's mostly covered in the manual, but I know how sometimes in the moment of "I HAVE PARTS!!!!!!" that the manual gets thrown somewhere dark and quickly becomes lost.

That's really funny. I must be a weird duck, because whenever I get new parts the first thing I do is read the instructions so that when I actually do install them it goes really easliy.

I've also been known to download instructions BEFORE I get a part
