Which barends do Easton recommend for their carbon bars. I looked at their web site but it just says to make sure the mounting slot is parallel to the center of the handle bar.
I want a short carbon barend. I have Titec Plutos on my alum. flat bar but they say they will crush a Easton carbon bar.
What do you guys recommend?

I don't trust the odd leverage loads the bar ends will create on the riser's bends. Plus in my (never-so) humble opinion it looks DORKY. I mean DORKY as in ride the short bus, wear plaid polyester pants, and have a "girlfriend in Canada" (when you live in the US far from the border) DORKY.
Those riser bars will make you forget all about the bar ends.

That plus with many bar ends the angle is way off when mounted to a riser due to the greater sweep. Some companies have a pivot mount for their bar ends that allows for some tinkering, but the space allowed between the bar and the gripped surface of the bar closes down reducing the effectiveness of one of the main positions the bar itself is there to provide.
If you want bar ends skip the riser and go to flat bar with a steeper stem to keep your ride height

No problem. Risers are a good thing, but not so much with bar ends.

I run the single track bar ends on my carbon riser bars with no problems and actually think they rock in some sections of the trail. I have them pointed backwards I guess you could say for easier use.

Pointing backwards sounds like an invitation to getting impaled, but hey too each his own. I would just hate to get stabbed by my bar ends in a crash (not that this couldn't happen with them facing forward, but the likelyhood is definitely decreased). I don't have to worry as I don't run bar ends on my MonkeyLites risers.

The singletracks are rounded plastic and there is no way in hell I could impale myself with them. They are NOT the bull horn type.
