is my bb5s brake pads supposed to be loose feeling? like those little stems that are sticking out of the back are jiggly and every time I squeeze the brake I hear a click sound...is this normal? Nope didn't think so...im sick of my bike...sick and tired. Ive been trying to adjust them for an hour now and have gotten nowhere.

make sure everything is tight. everything.

-check to see if the rotor is rubbing against the calipers... that usually causes the clicking that comes and goes as the wheel revolves. one way you could adjust them easily if you're having trouble is, 1. compress the brake lever so that the caliper is gripping onto the rotor, as this is tight on the rotor, tighten down the bolts.

another way to adjust the caliper is just by eye. one way that helps me is just the trial and error. i try to look straight down on the caliper and adjust from side to side in small increments until i can see a sliver of light comming through each side of the caliper. this way i know that there will be a tiny bit of give and take space in case the rotor decides to move a little.

well my rotor is slightly warped..it came that way to me brand new...im gonna take it to an LBS to see if they can straighten it.

It's a lot cheaper to straighten it yourself. Park even makes a tool to bend it.

i dont even know if its my rotor or my actual wheel.

well i took it to a LBS...the guy just said it need fine tuning..so he adjusted it...he said that when the BB5 is aligned correctly in the early stages, then it is going to rub the rotor a little bit until it gets broke in...and if you position it to where it doesnt rub...thats when you get that click...he said the clicking is coming from the magnet that holds the pads in place...and thats just the way the bb5 are.

Is what he is saying about the rotor rubing true?
