Bikes: Bike list is not a resume. Nobody cares.

Found the fast way down the mountain Saturday

Two-day gravity-fest at Silver Mountain in Idaho this past weekend. Got tired of the dust, rocks and braking bumps, thought "screw it" and decided to ride the tape instead:

(just kidding - - I thought the instant of this shot made for an intereresting effect)

It was a fun time, though. Jam-session-format short DH on Saturday (best of 4 runs) and a 17-minute (<15 for the pros) long DH 3000' down to the valley floor on Sunday. Another couple of shots (Thanks to Bones Over Metal for 1 & 2 and Mike Bullington for #3):

Great shots. I love that last one. How are you digging that bike?

I'm really liking it. I love the handling and stability. And it snakes through the tight trees much better than I expected. The extra 1¾" in the rear can even smooth out my sketchiness.

My only niggling complaint is it seems like the paint is somewhat soft - -scratches real easily. My top tube is a mass of scratches from a week of Whistler mud.

First and First. But I was hesitant to mention it, since I was the only 50+ expert entered

I take consolation in the fact that my time was good enough to have gotten me on the podium in either 30+ or 40+ expert on Sunday.

I thought only Giants got easily scuffed, particularly by school shoes.

50+!?! I kid, I kid. Great showing, congrats.
