Here's my first attempt:

I just got in from 26 west bike park. It was great. I spent a little time building a bridge and the got to ride for a few hours before the rain washed us out. It was a blast. They are going through some growing pains but thats to be expected for a brand new park on opening day.I post up some pics later.

I just discovered that one of my neighbors has 2 Santa Cruz Bullits. I wonder if he posts up on here or where he rides.

Nothng to be ashamed of - lots of n00bs have problems with clipless, just keep practicing and you'll be fine.

BFG 06-16-08 08:53 AM

I'll be on clipless eventually. I love clipless.

Hey, sometimes they're still going through growing pains two or three years later - - like Silver Mountain, ID. But it's all good; there's nothing better than having some good lift-accessed biking close to home.

I just got off the phone with your noob buddy. If he had a little more skill he wouldn't be riding the re:cliner.

ha, that's a good one. This is going to change my season plans somewhat.

dminor 06-17-08 10:49 AM

Uh-oh . . . is there still the possibility of a Fall trip?

(Funny, you'd think I'd remember how long it takes a collarbone to knit.)

Doubtful. By a quick search, it looks like 6-8 weeks is typical. If it were me, I probably wouldn't want to hit the Shore on week 7...

No, I recall a lot of PT and some soreness even after it knit. But then, I was over 40 - - you young bucks heal quicker.

Hope you didn't find that 'killer deal' and purchase your airfare already.

I've got 3 nights booked in whistler the last weekend of June.. and a cast on my right hand and arm for a torn ligament and resulting tendonitis that I've had for months.

No need to translate. There's probably an "English" link somewhere on the page.

BFG 06-18-08 02:25 AM

Ok gastro, ill bite.

What bike have you got on order?

Hint: Starts with a B, ends with anshee.

Dannihilator 06-18-08 08:11 AM

What Banshee?

BFG 06-18-08 09:03 AM

My guess is a Rune or a Wildcard.
They sound like bikes Gastro would ride.

Rune is pretty much the same as the SX Trail so that's not it. The Wildcard is cool, but that's not a niche I need to fill at this time.

You must realize I'm getting old and lazy and I'm tired of taking a pounding on the rocks at Snowshoe. I think something with 7-8" of travel, adjustable geometry, and a dual crown fork would fit the bill nicely. I've got a bunch of old parts I can pull off my seldom used DJ so frame/shock/fork/150mm hub is pretty much all I need to make it happen.

dminor 06-18-08 10:00 AM

Doesn't he already have an SX Trail though? I was thinking bigger like a Scythe (which bears an uncanny resemblance in configuration to a Gran Mal, BTW).

EDIT= I no sooner posted this and got back to the main screen with gastros answer. Did I nail this or what? :D

BFG 06-18-08 10:13 AM

I thought Scythe for a minute there, but didn't think you were down with something like that.

I can dig Scythes. One of the local Australian racers' factory Scythe was hot! he was on a Scythe til such times as his Legend was delivered. This calls for a picture.

santiago 06-18-08 10:34 AM

My vote is for Scythe.
