DT spokes are good. There are many different brands, styles, and guages of spokes though.

I'm using a double butted DT Competition spoke with mine. Makes sure they build them with brass nipples though.

I have had 5 good days or riding..............I'm a happy camper.

Luke52 03-10-09 10:34 PM

Getting my new hanger tomorrow.

Definitely the right one this time.

lanfarm 03-12-09 06:15 PM

Rode for the first time today. It was a mix of mud and frozen slush segments. Some parts were atleast 2 inches of mud deep. My back brake stopped working on the way back and my front was just barely. There was this black rubbery like stuff on it, kinda like the brake was so hot, the pads melted... The pins on the pedals had frozen mud on them, so my pedals were slippery as ice. What is a good place to buy pedals online, and ships to Canada?

And btw Scrublover, if you are willing to buy online, backcountry.com has some great deals right now. Go there, and find some all mountain skis in your budget. They also have a live chat with "ski pros" that will talk to you about what you want. Pretty good service. If you're interested in the park, twin tips would suit you, I think. But if you plan to stay on the groomers, skis with just a raised tip will be fine.

I'm off to Sycamore Cycles to let them have a look at my Enduro frame.........small crack.....

born2bahick 03-14-09 09:03 AM

Warantee replacement?

mtnbiker66 03-14-09 09:32 AM

Nope, the frame is a SX prototype. Raced for season by a friend so no dice. It's a tiny little crack in a strange place. We looked it over good at the shop and I'm gonna ride it and just keep an eye on it while I'm shopping for a new frame. It's not gonna cause any type of major failure.I'll put up a pic later.

ed 03-14-09 09:33 AM

What kinda frame ya looking for?

mtnbiker66 03-14-09 09:55 AM

....something kinda beefy, 5 or 6 inches of travel.

-_RebelRidin'_- 03-14-09 09:56 AM

Keep an eye on that crack now.. don't need a broken 66.

born2bahick 03-14-09 01:05 PM

I just replaced seals and wipers on the wifes Fox F-100 RL. It was pretty easy. After seeing the setup for the seal I can see why Fox's are prone to leaking. Now to do mine!

-_RebelRidin'_- 03-14-09 01:06 PM

lol, practice 'n on the wife bike first I see.

ed 03-14-09 04:52 PM

mtnbiker66 03-14-09 05:09 PM

A lot like that....

ed 03-14-09 05:10 PM

For some reason...I'm proud of you.

Dannihilator 03-15-09 10:15 PM

I'm pretty much aggravated with horses and the idiot owners of them here where I live at the moment.

Are they the only group that thinks it's fine to take their walking crap factory out onto the trails when the dirt is a consistency of something between soupy oatmeal and thick oatmeal? Things are finally dry enough to get some trail riding in at my favorite place and wound up spending most of my Thursday morning fixing parts that were mauled up by them. Only to go back today to see more hoof prints on that very same section of trail, a section of trail that isn't legal to equestrian traffic. Fortunately this repair was an easy repair and didn't take very long.

ca7erham 03-16-09 01:36 PM

It will never stop amazing me how easily horse owners can get the go ahead from parks to build trail, but how hard it is for us to get the go ahead. I dont really see how person who is in control of his or her 20-30 pound bike does more damage to trails than a 2 thousand pound animal with a mind of its own and 4 small points of contact. Not to mention the poo factor.

It's gonna come in handy ;) I see it doesn't quite translate back as well, though.

-_RebelRidin'_- 03-19-09 02:23 PM

Why stay at school lol, I aint even got a house yet.

ca7erham 03-19-09 02:26 PM

Mein deutsch ist nicht so gut weil mein deutsch lehrer ist nicht so gut.

All of those online translators are fine as long as you are only typing in one word. Anything more gets screwed up.

-_RebelRidin'_- 03-19-09 02:33 PM

your german teacher aint good... lol

ok quit torturin me with the German.

I've been here like 4 days, and its all but killed me lol.

ca7erham 03-19-09 02:51 PM

Mein leherer ist ein unterhaltend mann aber er nicht ein gut Lehrer ist.

Edit: I'll quit now, good luck. I know I learned more Chinese in the first 2 days I was there than in the previous 6 months that I'd been using one of those audio learning systems, so I hope you get similar results with german.

-_RebelRidin'_- 03-19-09 02:57 PM
