You're a little confused. Those are not boys.

Would this watch work for MTB?
Oakley

Dannihilator 11-20-09 09:27 AM

Sure if you don't mind ruining a $3.5k watch in a crash.

born2bahick 11-20-09 09:29 PM

So It's more of a roadie watch?

mtnbiker66 11-20-09 09:43 PM

I think it's more of a B2B watch. You're GTG with that watch.

mtnbiker66 11-20-09 09:50 PM

My ride schedule will be changing after Thankgiving. I took an evening job supervising the local homless shelter/food kitchen. It'll be challenging but I think it'll be worth the effort. I'll have plenty of solo ride time in the mornings.

Thanksgiving was last month...what the hell is wrong with you? :P

never 11-21-09 12:33 AM

Yeah, I guess that was a dumb question! ;)

craigcraigcraig 11-21-09 01:44 PM

I'm swapping forks on my bikes today. Nixon goes on the Enduro and the Marz id going on the HT. I like the nixon soooooo much more. I don't use the ETA on the Enduro but I think it would be useful on the HT.

Daspydyr 11-22-09 10:00 AM

Which Marzo do you have. I wanna new fork and I want MAZ, just because. What fork OSR? please please please.

mtnbiker66 11-22-09 03:29 PM

It's an All Mountain 1.

Just reading a statement like this reminds me how much times have changed :D.

never 11-23-09 02:50 PM

Take off, eh.

-_RebelRidin'_- 11-23-09 02:55 PM

I'm getting a pair of 250 Sidi road shoes for 50 bucks.
Hardly used, still clean and not smelly lol.

=)
I know they're road shoes but hey, they fit amazingly, and I can still use em, or sell em which ever.

Business810 11-23-09 09:41 PM

Need to vent: I'm still sidelined after twisting up my knee ~2 weeks ago on the trail. I've been trying short rides here and there, but any kind of serious climbing and it starts to ache. I guess I'm stuck spinning my road bike on rollers indoors until it improves. The kicker? The wreck when I twisted it was my first time out on my new bike... and I have this whole week off from work in hopes of getting in a lot of riding.

And a huge weather shock, too.

craigcraigcraig 11-24-09 10:56 AM

haha that is a crazy change in scenery. I am a little jealous I have to admit though.

MindlessDeviant 11-24-09 11:56 AM

Yeah the weather is going to be insane at first. I prefer colder wet weather than what we get here in TX. I have over the years really started to hate the heat here and the electric bill it creates.

Craig I'll take tons of pics when I get there and post em up for ya

craigcraigcraig 11-24-09 12:03 PM

thanks haha, this coming summer a friend and i are going to try and do a road trip from texas to seattle. Stopping in New Mexico for an old friend, colorado for my brother, and then Seattle for her friend. If this goes down ill have the bike and will be letting all you washington guys know.

-_RebelRidin'_- 11-26-09 05:14 AM

LOL, Culture shock.
I went from 14 years in Alaska, to 3 years in Middle Southern Georgia.. Then to Germany.
I know how you'll feel.... Man, if you like colder/wet climates, Move here..... I have to almost give up riding in shorts. I'm looking into cold/wet weather riding gear now, I've ditched the jerseys for Cold gear underarmor.

BUT on the plus side...
I'm got some hardly used SIDI Carbon Road shoes (unsure of model) But origonal price was 250.00, for 50 bucks. They dont fit the old owner, but fit me perfectly.
They're road shoes, but still couldn't pass the deal.

I've been conned!! So at work I was the logistics manager and due to personal reasons I stepped down 6 months ago and moved into security. Well one of the guys I hired while in logistics injured himself and is unable to work, they came and talked to me and pretty much talked me into covering his position until I move. So now I work my 40hrs a week in security and put in almost 40hrs a week in logistics as well. Sure the paychecks are going to be insanely nice especially with the holidays and the move buuuutttt.... Selling all my furniture, truck parts, and junk along with packing has now become a serious chore, so much so I don't have time to meet the people from Craigslist making offers on my stuff. Guess I will have to call in "sick" here and there.

Mods, please rename the forum to "Chelboed's Blog" since he's the only one posting here since we've been welcomed "to the cutting edge" that is v4 of vBulletin.

MindlessDeviant 11-30-09 10:38 PM

I like the looks of the update but threads this long kill me cuz I have to get in here then click "last" instead of just clicking it on the thread page. Time to go make a suggestion!

4evrplan 12-01-09 10:04 AM

MD, just click on the time stamp next to where it says "last post". It'll take you right too it. It took me a while to figure that one out too.
