29r is an important life-style decision... next will be single speeds and thongs.

Those are pretty tame (but good pedals).

THESE are shin-shredders (and calf-shredders and doorway shredders . . . .):

oh my goodnes... thats crazy lol..

I bet they sharpen them up just incase they do smack the leg its more hardcore.

I would.

cryptid01 11-04-10 04:57 PM

Simply removing the center pins front and rear will reduce shin damage by a surprising amount without significant loss in grip. Perhaps more applicable in street riding where shinguards are, let's say, less favored, but seems like there're more platforms on the trails these days.

This Killswitch came into my LBS recently. Pretty smooth looker.

Those nicely used pedals would give me instantaneous cred at the local trailhead/starbucks! $10 bucks shipped.

It's hard for me to keep track since I moved from rubber band shootin' range to 10 hrs away, but I still see him from time to time. I think he's riding more and shooting riding less.

Maybe we should PM bomb him and call him out.

No those aren't fancy enough for your scene - you need something like these

Haha, you can do your own pedal treatments at home with a bag of ceramic ball bearings and a dryer!

^^ You can at least take comfort in the knowledge that we never mock you behind your back - - we always do it to your (e-)face :p.

santiago 11-05-10 01:39 PM

No wonder the roadies hate you guys.

Jerks.

I just posted up some high dollar, shinier pedals which I thought would be held in higher regard by the mocha latte set than some scratched up old mid grade units.

Rest assured I shall mock you again at a later date.
