Tomorrow I get to see how bad my park skills have deteriorated.

Dannihilator 01-15-11 12:04 AM

My park skills have deteriorated, but I am discovering I'm more apt to street and DJ's.

mzeffex 02-02-11 08:52 PM

Suggestion for best reasonably priced XC race frame? I decided I want to race this season.

Dannihilator 02-06-11 10:35 PM

What is felt thinking, $5500 for a bike with a full deore drivetrain.

craigcraigcraig 02-06-11 10:39 PM

that's insane.

dminor 02-07-11 12:10 AM

^^ Not as insane as the $6,500 they'd probably ask for it spec'd with top-shelf parts.

Dannihilator 02-07-11 12:50 AM

Try $8,900

mzeffex 02-07-11 06:09 PM

Maybe I'm just not catching on to the joke but it has XT components not deore.

Dannihilator 02-07-11 06:34 PM

Brakeset is XT. Drivetrain is deore.

santiago 02-08-11 02:54 PM

Junkyard sucks for ditching us.

dminor 02-08-11 05:25 PM

^^ He really wanted a rigid, steel singlespeed 29er forum . . . .

Looking at the photo it clearly has XT.

Dannihilator 02-08-11 08:32 PM

Must be a typo then.

Sette Reken can't be beat for, oh, twice the price.

mzeffex 02-14-11 09:43 PM

I got a frame.. now I need a fork.

Dannihilator 02-15-11 06:47 PM

I can now officially say that I have broken two frames made by Trek.

dminor 02-15-11 06:50 PM

^^ You just gots too much torque, man.

never 02-15-11 07:17 PM

^^ using a saw doesn't count as breaking!

craigcraigcraig 02-15-11 07:22 PM

the oldie broke?

Dannihilator 02-15-11 07:28 PM

yep, was the oldie.

I wouldn't use a saw on a frame in order to claim that it broke.

never 02-15-11 09:31 PM

^ I just know dminor would so I figured all mods would! ;)

Dannihilator 02-15-11 09:41 PM

Something will rise from the ashes from this....

Could be a bike that I'd be taking to resorts......

You've got it backward: I break stuff so that I don't have to admit I wanted to take a saw to it.

Dannihilator 02-27-11 10:01 PM

I have a real bad feeling that I may have torn the acl in my right knee.

You'll know soon enough.

craigcraigcraig 02-28-11 03:14 PM

i need an IS adapter for the fork for my new bike, anyone have one they want to send my way or can point me to something? Will check the LBS tomorrow. I have seen tons of them online but all descriptions seem vague not sure which one is right. 160mm rotors. also sliced the tip of my finger off messing with the rear disc haha.

dminor 02-28-11 06:20 PM

So you need this one, right?

Let me scratch around at home. I think all mine are 8" but I'll doublecheck. PM me if you haven't heard from me tonight.

Dannihilator 02-28-11 07:36 PM

Well, nothing is torn, but I nearly got admitted to the hospital today with a big blood clot in my right leg.

They put you on rat poison?

dminor 02-28-11 11:13 PM

Dang! At least half the news was good. Hope they get the clot cleared up quickly.
