What do you guys think about this? Waffling on whether or not I should go check it out. I think I'd swap a few parts if I was to pick it up, and he didn't get any takers on Ebay recently so I think I could get the price down a bit.

Not bad. Coil-Air is a great long-travel trailbike.

What are you talking about? I've been a fan of Ringle hubs since the good old days when you had a mullet, a camaro, and a black sleeveless t-shirt. (last year) I've had some on my enduro since 05 or so. They're one of the best bang for the buck hubs out there imo. And LOUD to startle horses and hikers.

Coil Air is a real solid ride, especially with a DHX 5.0, which technically makes it a Coiler Dee Lux or something. I'd think about ditching brakes (nines are terrible), no-name shifter, back wheel (heavy threaded axle with weird offset I suspect) and take a close look at the condition of the crank/bb.

mtnbiker66 11-09-10 04:09 PM

I did not have a mullet...I just had long hair! The 69 camaro and the black sleeveless concert shirts were a hit with all my girlfriends parents,as was my leather jacket.

dminor 11-09-10 04:40 PM

^^ Yeah, I try to kid myself that I was cool too.

[When in fact, I realize I'm the same dork I always was - - just traded Suzuki t-shirts for Yeti ones :o]

If you were balding in the front and your hair was long in the back, it still counts as a mullet.

Not that I'm one to throw stones in the balding house but what you might be talking about is a skullet.

Dannihilator 11-09-10 09:10 PM

Have the mtb packed and ready for tomorrow.

I bought a RoadID bracelet that one of my Facebook roadie friends was shilling for. You'd think he would have offered me a coupon code. Jerk.

Anyway, upon receiving the bracelet I was given 4 coupon codes for $1 off. http://roadid.com Here you go:

TAF1238
TAF1239
TAF1240
BG5244

I believe they are single use coupon so make your way down the list in case someone else used it.

Good guess!

Dannihilator 11-30-10 09:17 PM

Some goodies arrived today. First time in ages that I will have a mtb without a shimano crankset on it.

Johnny Law 12-01-10 07:19 AM

what on earth is the road id for? is that for when they find your dead body on the side of the road and cant identify your face?

santiago 12-01-10 08:40 AM

Has anyone seen gastro? I haven't seen him post in a long while.

Dannihilator 12-15-10 11:25 PM

Going to have some fun in the snow tomorrow, if there's any left.

Figures, given that I'm finally feeling 100%, been banged up the whole year it seems.

Johnny Law 12-16-10 11:51 AM

i want it to snow soooo bad!
