After my bike dried off after a snow ride today I noticed my relatively new Ourys feel really tacky.. any idea why and how to fix it?

Don't, that when they are at their best.

I don't like it. And it leaves residue on my hands.

Hooked the front wheel to the right a bit too far and due to toe overlap jammed my left foot, which sent me otb and smack right onto my right hip, slightly bruised as well.My first concern was my right shoulder, because I whacked it pretty good. Shoulder seems to be fine over 24 hours later.

Had to retape the bars, tore the tape something awful.

Had the exact same thing happen, though not on a pista... kid was riding his bicycle the right way up the road then decided to cross the street to the wrong side and cause a head-on collision.

Hauled it down from cruising speed but still went OTB and still have nagging injury on my hip somedays.

I'd like to add, no school monday. 4 day weekend! Hopefully more.

^^ My bad . . . I was reading too much between the lines :o

I guess you need to be wearing your reading glasses so you can actually focus on the lines.

dminor 02-08-10 11:43 AM

Careful, there, sonny.

Sorry, sir!

As if our 2 and some feet of snow was not enough, we are expecting 10-20 inches tomorrow/wednesday. I don't think we're having school this week.

-_RebelRidin'_- 02-08-10 05:50 PM

almost all our snow melted. lol

Must be getting hammered over there? I was talking to my uncle... His snowplow truck keeps getting stuck because of the amount of snow.

mzeffex 02-08-10 06:05 PM

Hahaha, yeah, the city actually ran out of salt. I actually live just outside of DC though. I built this awesome track to go biking on out of snow in my back yard. It didn't work. I just kept sliding.

Dannihilator 02-08-10 06:42 PM

Dangit snow. 10-18 expected with this upcoming one.

With as much snow as you have, it's time to get in some jumping practice. I understand from Mike and the guys in Moscow, ID that it's the perfect way to hone your backflips:

You need one of these!

Dannihilator 02-08-10 06:48 PM

It seems the road department here is barely competent enough to handle 2" of snow fall.

mzeffex 02-08-10 06:53 PM

Those pictures look awesome, but I don't have a ramp! Also, the video is cool.

It has been bugging me that I've not been able to figure out the speeds people reach in downhill races - Dminor - input?

Only time I get troubles is when get so deep it's higher than the top of my moldboard. Then what breaks back over top sneaks under the hood and drowns my distributor :notamused:.

You mean as far as what speeds are attained or how to attain them?

Dannihilator 02-08-10 06:57 PM

Biggest snowfall I've seen in person is 3'.

Guess I have to dig the mtb out and put the minions on it for tomorrow.

mzeffex 02-08-10 08:47 PM

What speeds are reached.
