Shocking Poll
I just serviced my Judy XC's and changed the travel from 80 to 100mm. The ride seems much plusher at 100mm. Just wondered what everyone else was running and their thoughts on the subject. Thanks, DG

At the moment I'm using a Manitou X-vert R w/115mm travel.

I like the set up pretty tight...anything over 100mm freaks me out!

I'm running a Lefty Strut (Fork) on my hardtail. It gets just over 100mm. I was going to vote twice because I've also got a Specialized P.3 with a Marzocchi z-2 Atom Race at 80mm.

Nothing, rigid RULES, :cool:
Just kiddin, my other bike, a proflex has some extra cheap elastomer shocks with oil damping, but it works; can`t say what the travel is, maybe 50 mm

Thanks for all the input ya'll. Looks like 100mm isn't as popular as I expected. But then some forks won't go to 100 either. Guess I'll just ride it awhile like that and see if I like it.

Jeez, I feel left out. On my Cannodale I'm running 70mm on the Headshok and 63mm on my old G.F.
I would like to get a new bike with some more travel. Sometimes it would be nice not to come back home so beat up after a long ride.

I'm doing okay...Unfortunately I haven't had much time to ride recently and now with the time change and the rainy season upon us it doesn't look like I'll get much of a chance.
How are things going with you? Still enjoying the "new" bike?

I just bought a manitou sxr with 85mm of travel. I had a hard time deciding originally if I wanted to buy the sxr or the x-vert which has 110mm of travel. I ended up choosing the sxr because I wanted to be able to still climb hills easily. So I guess it's a trade-off, travel and climbing ability.
