A couple of shots of my 29er singlespeed i just built.
nothing fancy about it .. just a Soul Cycles Dillinger 29er frame and fork with some generic wheels ... fsa crankset ... and a single speed conversion on the rear ... running an old set of bb5 brakes ...

got in about 8 to 10 miles this morning (no clue how far, no computer on it, not planning on one either) ...
it was a blast on the trail, cornering was a little tricky and i found a few areas that i could not fit through (mostly because i was sitting up higher and couldn't duck far enough down) ...
the 32:18 seems about right for a more flat trail with a few open areas ... going to try it in a few days on a place with more hills ... will prob have a heart attack then.
i have about 38psi in the tires, but for some reason with that pressure, and the front fork, the front end likes to bounce a lot ... sometimes more then my suspension fork ... i guess that is just part of it ... got tossed off of a wooden bridge because the front end kept bouncing on each peice of wood as it went across.
went ahead and put my smaller spacer under the stem and the larger one on top and flipped the stem upside down... with that, and the seat moved down a little bit ... has it about level and handling felt great ... for longer distances in the open tho i will need the seat higher ... but got it low enough now that i can pedal while standing (somewhat) ... but can still pedal while seated without to much of an issue.
got a bunch more sounds from my spokes .. so stopped in the l-bs after i hit the trail .. and luckally the mechanics that are nice were there ... they had a look at the wheels and only a few spokes had to be adjusted and everything is true ...
about the only thing i can think of would possibly be some bars that are a little more narrow, and some bar ends ... but not for sure, going to leave it like it is for now till i get more miles (and mud) on it ...
when i was trying to go into the l-bs ... and then while leaving it ... there must have been at least 10 people that stopped me and asked about the bike .. 'why are the wheels so big, why dont you have any gears on it... etc etc etc.' feels odd having questions like that asked lol .. esp from some of the same people that normally just give me dirty looks while i am out riding.
