Scandium 6061 ??

Hi

Was just about to purchase a Sintesi X-Wing XC - trible butted lightweight build of Scandium - when I came across some rumours ?? that Scandium does not keep its stifness.

Know that Kona had problems earlier - It this material hyped too much ?? Or is it just rumours.

I ride a fairly agressive XC - 92 kilograms 190 cm

I'm no metalurgist, but from what I know is: The material is very light, very brittle. It has a low modulus of elasticity (i.e., very stiff and when it's bent, it doesn't bend back! IT Breaks)

Cant say for scanadium, but specialized's metal matrix composite has a pretty good life-span.
