Good Deal?

I am 5 9 and am looking for a good bike to start learning how to mountain bike on in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Been looking around the CL in my area and this bike caught my eye. Let me know what you think.

It's a scam. Go back and read the listing closely.

Maybe it's just me, but the third pic (bottom left) has the Fisher logo going backwards. Maybe it's an optical illusion or maybe I shouldn't be posting this late. Regardless of that, I am wary of people who use exclamation points excessively.

It's weird that the photo is flipped but that doesn't make it a scam... just a flipped photo.

If everything that's on it is in good shape and of decent quality it might be an OK deal. It depends on what the components are. It looks like you'd need to buy brake levers, brakes and shifters + all the cabling. That's a good chunk of $$ depending on how you go, but it's not necessarily a bad deal at first sight, imo.

It's kind of sad that he can't spell "Gary Fisher" properly seeing as it's on the bike and in the pictures he posted. But maybe I'm being picky

Notice the left-hand drivetrain and the vitavurt handlebar.

Looks good to me, but you should check out how much those retail for normally. Also I wouldn't want a road bike derailleur on a burly MTB like that.
